Fresh Off Our Needles: The Discovery Poncho
The Discovery Poncho from Heidi & Lana is a truly simple knit. Easy to wear and knit with a fingering-weight yarn, it's lightweight and will make an excellent transitional piece that you'll be able to wear from Winter into Spring. We stock the kit in five gorgeous colors and each kit contains:
- 3 hanks Heidi & Lana Meadow Fingering yarn (50% Merino, 50% Alpaca; 100g/ 440 yds)
- Discovery Poncho knitting pattern
- Stitch markers, progress marker, row count keeper card, pencil, and a tapestry needle
The Haus of Yarn Yearlong Knitalong: October Edition!!
Join us in the store next Monday, October 2nd, at 11:00 am as we kick off the next installment of the Yearlong Knitalong! This time around, we'll be working on the Miter Squares Scarf. Choose a self-striping yarn and watch the colors and textures change into a unique pattern!
Not interested in making the scarf? You can still join the Yearlong Knitalong with an afghan block pattern from the Haus of Yarn Block-a-Month Afghan book. The Block-a-month Knitalong meets at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 2nd.
Remember: attendance for Knitalong Mondays is always free! As a genuine 'thank you!' for your participation, all materials purchased at Haus of Yarn that relate directly to each month's knitalong will qualify for double stamps on our Haus of Yarn Reward Card. New Class: Socks on Two Circs!
We've been getting lots of requests for this one...and your wish is our command! Leah is offering a beginning socks class spotlighting the Two Circ method. You'll learn how to knit socks "cuff down." You just need to have basic knitting skills: casting on, knit & purl stitch...and a general knowledge of knitting in the round is also helpful. Saturday, November 11th, 18th (2:00 pm-5:00 pm), and December 2nd from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Call the shop to register, only a few spots remaining! 615-354-1007
Festival Time!
October is right around the corner...which means it's almost time for Fiber in the 'Boro! The festival is held in Murfreesboro on Saturday, October 21st from 9am-5pm...there are classes and loads and loads of vendors! We'll be there with the Yarn Bus and sure hope you're planning on coming!
