The Book includes four years worth of block patterns (48 total blocks). Grouped into four sections - "Easy," "Year 1, "Year 2," and "Year 3" - you can mix and match them at will.
Booklet 1 contains only the 12 block patterns from the "Easy" section of the larger book and is the companion to 2026's Block-a-Month Afghan Knitalong .
Regardless of which blocks you opt for, you'll need approximately 200 yards of worsted weight yarn per block. A solid-color afghan will need 2400 yards total. A multi-colored afghan will require, well, you do the math: 200 yards each of the colors you choose per block. We love Plymouth Yarns Merino Worsted since it's machine washable AND dryable...but any worsted weight yarn will work!
