A Note on Memorial Day

We hope everyone has had a safe Memorial Day weekend so far, and we thank all past and present who have served. The shop will be closed today, but if you're in the Nashville area, we highly recommend visiting the Nashville National Cemetery today, where you'll see miniature flags placed at each and every one of the cemetery's thousands of graves. The cemetery can be located at 1420 Gallatin Road S., in Madison. We promise that if you decide to visit, you won't be sorry; it's an incredible way to pay respect to all those who have served.

Yay! Another Brooklyn Tweed Trunk Show! This time it's LACE!

We've got another fantastic Brooklyn Tweed trunk show in the store - It's a gorgeous group of lace shawls, all designed  by Jared Flood, all using BT's signature Plains or Vale.  We're particularly taken with these four (clockwise from upper left): Girasole, Bridgewater, Lucca and Rock Island. As usual with Flood's designs, the beauty is in the details -- we've got this batch from May 26th until June 10th... don't miss it!

Haus of Yarn Yearlong Knitalong: June Edition!!

Join us in the store next Monday, June 4th, at 11:00 am for June's Yearlong Knitalong project! This time around, we'll be working on one of our favs, the Rose City Rollers. These are an easy, roll-top ankle sock pattern perfect for summer knitting. Knit from the top down, with a traditional heel flap and heel turn, and are available in three size options.

Choose a skein of Plymouth Happy Feet Splash (our sample is in #104 Autumn), a soft blend of merino and nylon - for added strength - hand-dyed with bright, colorful dyes that lend a funky vibe to your project. Or perhaps a skein of Smooth Sock from Junkyarn, a hand-dyed yarn in a fantastic palette of pop-culture-inspired colorways. We're pretty sure your feet will be as thrilled with this yarn as we are!

Not interested in making the Rose City Rollers? You can still join the Yearlong Knitalong with an afghan block pattern from the Haus of Yarn Block-a-Month Afghan book. The Block-a-Month Knitalong meets at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 4th.

Remember: attendance for Knitalong Mondays is always free! As a genuine 'thank you!' for your participation, all materials purchased at Haus of Yarn that relate directly to each month's knitalong will qualify for double stamps on our Haus of Yarn Reward Card. DOUBLE STAMPS! We really do appreciate your participation and want to encourage as many of you to make as many of the monthly projects as possible. Earning double stamps will make it that much easier!

Not local? No worries! Join the Yearlong Knitalong virtually. Click here to join our group and come knit along with us!

We'd love to see your projects! In process or completed...if you're on Instagram, join in anytime with #yearlongknitalong and #hausofyarntn.

Can't make it in person!? Leah has (finally!) uploaded her l Boot Camp Sock tutorial pattern to Ravelry! This pattern will take you step-by-step through the process of working socks on two circs.
