The Thaliah Shawl...and a Few Words about SuperSummerKnitogether

We were fortunate enough to meet up with Robyn - the dyer behind New Orleans-based Teeny Button Studio - early Sunday morning before she headed back home after attending and vending at the just-wrapped SuperSummerKnitogether (SSK). One of the samples Robyn showed us (and let us borrow!) was Thaliah, a perfect take-anywhere shawl comprised of a simple lace pattern and textured border, polished off with a contrasting colored bind-off and tassels; the minute we saw this sample in person, we knew we wanted it!

With the help of Robyn and her mother Merry, we put together six amazing kit combos for Thaliah - each kit includes 2 main-color skeins of Teeny Button Studio Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) fingering weight yarn and 1 mini skein that provides a little kick of color for the bind off and tassels! The Thaliah pattern must be purchased directly from Ravelry and is not included in the kit.

Oh, and just in case you're not familiar with SSK: this retreat, hosted by the dynamic duo Laura & Leslie of The Knitgirllls podcast, is held in Nashville every year and is one of our favorites! We've had the luxury of attending as students a few times and have met so many amazing people and learned so much over the past seven years. If you'd like to know how to attend in 2019, click here, and sign up to receive email notifications!! You won't regret it!!

Two Brooklyn Tweed Trunk Shows!

Get inspired by not one, but two Brooklyn Tweed trunk shows on display for one more week -- through July 29th! Summer may be in full swing, but it's a perfect time to get started on something now so you'll have it ready for snuggling this Winter! We have seventeen pieces on display, all knit in Peerie, Loft or Shelter. Two of our favorites: Sempervivum in Loft and the Lucerne hat knit in BT's newest yarn Peerie.

Old Rusted Chair Trunk Show!

We're thrilled to host Nashville-based-dyer-extraordinaire Lauren from Old Rusted Chair! We currently have on hand ALL of Lauren's fingering weight bases, in as many colors as she could get us!  Whether you're a local or just visiting Nashville, do be sure to stop in to see all of her lovelies in person - there are plenty of skeins in four different bases for you to choose from!! This show runs through August 5th.

Fix-It Class!

Let's face it: we ALL make mistakes when we knit. We drop a stitch or forget a yarnover and don't see it until the next row...and sometimes we're not quiiiiite sure how to fix it! If this sounds a little too familiar to you, you need to take Sue's next class!

Saturday, July 28th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Call the shop to register: 615-354-1007

*There's homework required for this one; you'll find the details here.
