New Yarn: Hand-Dyed Cotton Worsted!

Y'all, we've been anxiously waiting for one particular order to arrive...it has and it did not disappoint! The moment we walked into Birdies Knits booth at Stitches Atlanta in May, we knew the drive was worth it. Birdie's 100% Hand Dyed Cotton yarn in the most glorious tonal, speckled and variegated worsted weight has arrived!

Meg knit up two Yoked Cardigans in the six-month size using just a single skein each but what she's really dreaming about is a three-color shawl! She's contemplating either Winter Spark or Gryer...so. many. choices! We have samples of both worked up in merino wool in the shop, but we're incredibly excited to have another fiber option for folks allergic (or very sensitive) to wool. Click here to see our version of Gryer and here for Winter Spark!

Samples are shown in Zen and Mistakes & Margaritas.

Join us next Monday -- Monday, Oct. 7th -- from 11:00 am until noon for the October installment of the Haus of Yarn Yearlong Knitalong; we'll be working on the Hyak sock! Learn basic, cuff-down sock construction worked with worsted weight yarn -- these beauties fly off your needles!

Yarn Suggestions:

Järbo Garn Raggi Sock for the Main Color & West Yorkshire Spinners Aire Valley Aran for Contrast Color. One skein of each is all you'll need to complete your project!

For those of you working on (or wanting to start!) a block from our Afghan Block-a-Month Book, we'll be meeting at 1:00 pm on Monday, Oct. 7th!
